Historic, Colorful “Burque”  -  8:30am-3:30pm  -  $58.00

Learn about the history and growth of Albuquerque, the little town that sprung up on the banks of the Rio Grande in 1706. Highlights of today’s tour include a look at the true colors of turquoise. You might not typically laugh during a seminar, but you will today during our visit to the Turquoise Museum. Bring along your favorite piece of turquoise and discover it origin and value! After an orientation of Old Town Plaza, you’ll have free time to choose a restaurant for lunch and take a look into the shops. This afternoon we’ll visit the “Atomic Museum.” The National Museum of Nuclear Science and History is the nation’s only congressionally chartered museum in its field and a Smithsonian affiliate. Originally known as the National Atomic Museum it was established in 1969 as an intriguing place to learn the story of the Atomic Age, from early research of nuclear development through today’s peaceful uses of nuclear technology. Visitors can explore how nuclear science continues to influence our world. The museum strives to present, through permanent and changing exhibits and displays, the diverse applications of nuclear energy in the past, present and future along with the stories of the field’s pioneers. Docents will be available at the Museum for our group or you may choose to view the exhibits with your own interests in mind. The last time we were in Burque, we bought bricks to support the NM Veterans Memorial, so we’ll take a short stop at the Memorial again to see how it’s developed and to visit our bricks!

Sandia Peak Tram Ride  -  6:30pm-9:30pm  -  $52.00

Sandia Mountain dominates the eastside of Albuquerque with its 5,000’ vertical rise. A visit to the top of this mountain is a much sought after experience by visitors. Our 15-minute tram ride takes us through 4 biological life zones and reveals deep canyons and an awe-inspiring view not soon to be forgotten. You will have time to enjoy the panoramic view and enjoy a cocktail and maybe an appetizer if you desire, but there is not enough time for dinner at the mountain. Notes: Due to the elevation, 10,378’, individuals with heart conditions or respiratory problems should consult their doctor. Wear something warm, mountain temps are cooler than in the city.

Experience Santa Fe  -  9am-4pm  -  $55.00

A trip to New Mexico is not complete without a trip to our historic, photogenic capital city of Santa Fe. Known for its bright, clear skies and high desert climate, the Experience Santa Fe tour I a treasured memory for all visitors. Once in Santa Fe, our guide will lead an orientation tour of the immediate area, pointing out restaurants, shops and museums. Loretto Chapel Museum is included in the tour (famous for its “Miraculous staircase” said to have been built by St. Joseph himself). This tour allows for approx. 3 hours of free time for lunch and exploring Santa Fe with ones’ own interests in mind.

Casino Hop  -  5pm-10pm  -  $35.00

We’ll visit Route 66 Casino just west of town and Sandia Casino and Resort. Each has numerous dining choices and a lounge that serves alcohol. No free alcohol on the gamin floor here because of tribal Pueblo rules! The Route 66 theme is fun and is located across from the original historic Route 66. Sandia is most beautiful. You’ll enjoy the architecture and artwork as well as a non-smoking room that really is smoke free! Both have a gift shop and over 1,000 machines as well as table games. Allows for 13/4 hours at each casino.
