MUSTER OF AERIAL'S DOLLS
WE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW!
As most of you know, Aerial and John were involved in the making of porcelain dolls for a number of years prior to their leaving us. These dolls were unique and exquisite, each one having a special place in Aerial’s heart. Each doll was lovingly hand cast, painted and dressed as well as given a special name by Aerial.
After her death, many of her dolls were sold and, of course, we do not know where they went. However, we would like to locate all of the dolls that Aerial made and were raffled or auctioned at the reunion over the past years. Our intent is to create a page on the website and put pictures together with a little history of each doll on that page (when they were acquired, etc.).
Also, as the pictures and histories arrive, we will put them in the newsletter for all to see, as some do not have access to a computer.
We thought that this would be a fun thing to do as well as provide a little history of Aerial’s doll making.
If you have one of Aerial’s treasures, or know of someone who has one, we would appreciate hearing from you or them.
Thanks for your help in this project.

As stated above, we are trying to get pictures and history of all of Aerial’s dolls, or as many as we can locate. The first to come to us is from shipmate Myron Johnson. Myron writes:
I have the first doll given away out our Reunion. Am sending a picture of the doll (ed: see below). I only made the first 3 reunions. I served on the ship from 1953 to 1954. My rate was RD 3.”
